Sherwood Hills

On Sunday after church we drove up to Sherwood Hills and enjoyed a nice leisurely stroll in the leaves. The kids were so fun, running ahead of us in the trees and throwing up leaves and letting them trickle back down onto them. WE LOVE FALL!!!

The "KID" in me takes over...............

Just as we were ready to sit down for lunch outside on the patio Ash noticed a HUGE spider hanging from the house. She was very insistent on my killing the thing.................but I was insistent on having a little fun first!!

BYU Football and Peaches

Bart and his brother, Clint, went to the BYU football game and watched them spank Wyoming!!!
I opted to spend the day bottling peaches. They are so yummy and I can't wait to eat them all winter long. My grandma came over to help me get "started". She ended up staying for 2 hours and getting two batches finished. Thanks for your help Grandma.

Dinner at our house!

Sunday after church while we were eating dinner Zhoee became really bossy and whiny, She is usually tired and ornery after getting out of church at 5:30pm. So, as she was freaking out about me pouring her drink into the "wrong cup". Jadon declared, and I quote... "Zhoee, Don't bite the hand. I mean it, Don't bite the hand that feeds ya." I can recall so clearly Bart and I quickly looking at each other and wondering where this kid comes up with his material. Then he went on to explain to her what he meant by the comment. He told her that Mom and Dad take care of her and if she treats us mean and yells then we don't have to feed her anymore. What a brilliant kid who catches on so quickly. Jadon is such a smartie and amazes us with what he picks up and his awesome memory. We love you Jadon. Thanks for teaching Zhoee a little lesson and giving Mom and Dad a laugh!

I wanted to die

I look tired don't I???

The gun went off and hundreds of runners started taking off down main street and where were Kelsie and I???? We had arrived so early for the Peach Days 10 K, we were still hangin out streching by the tabernacle front doors and about died to see everyone take off. We ran for the starting line but, through all our efforts to get there, we were dead last starting the 10K run. I laughed so hard just thinking about how early we showed up, and yet we just lost track of time and didn't even realize everyone was lining up to start. HOW FUNNY!!! Well we did it. Kelsie faster than me, but I finished. At the last 2 K going back down main street, which was lined by thousands of parade watchers, I was wishing I was dead. All those feelings of despair hit me. "Why in the heck did I want to do this to myself." "I have 9 long blocks to go and my body just can't finish." Well, slowly, very slowly, and bringing up the rear, I did finish!!!!! I'm going to become a runner and try to actually PREPARE myself before I do this to my poor body again. But I do want to run another race soon it was very satisfying- and I have to try to keep up with my husband and my sisters!!!

Kelsie convinced me to get NIKE PLUS for my ipod. It was so cool to put the chip in my shoe as I ran and then during my playlist a voice will tell me how far I have gone, how much torture I have left to endure, and how many calories I have burned, etc... Pretty cool. I got a sweet armband for it too and it made the run a little easier. I can't wait to run tomorrow morning (pushing 60 lbs. of children in the jogging stroller) Will my legs let me??? I'm pretty sore this morning. Thanks for pushing me Kels, I had a fun time. (I can say that now, not yesterday)

Labor Day Weekend in Elko

We always have such a good time when we go out to see Barts family. We had a great time just hanging around, going to yard sales Sat. morning, watching all the cousins play (especially night games), and going out with the four-wheelers!!! The best things, however, were when Tiff, Taniel, Dana, and I took over Tiffs room and just layed on the bed together and watched TLC all Monday morning, it was great. I don't know what my kids were doing but we weren't bothered. Bart loved their new theater room with projection TV with the biggest screen I've ever seen in my life and the sound system is LOUD!! By loud I mean awesome. Mom and Dad took us to this very yummy Basque resturaunt called "The Star" It has such GREAT food it took us over 2 hours to get in, but it was very worth it. Our steak and fish were fabulous!
My wonderful best friend, Lindsay and her cute family are in the process of moving out to Elko so we got to see them too!!! Thanks for the fun time everyone. We wish we could come out there more often!

iSN'T SHE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! mY SWEET LITTLE GIRL STARTED PRESCHOOL YESTERDAY. The class sang happy birthday to her and she got a Happy Birthday Crown to wear. She was very excited to share her cupcakes we made with her class for her birthday treat. It was so fun for her and she loved telling me all about school on the way home. When I went to pick her up she was swinging at the outside playground with the other kids and a girl came up next to her and grabbed Zhoee's arm and said, "Princess, lets go over here." and then when Zhoee and the girl kept going in their conversation she continued to refer to Zhoee as "Princess" How adorable is that???

Happy Birthday Zhoee!!!

Funny story: I left Bart in charge of writing Zhoee's name on the cupcakes while I was making a salad. When he announced "I'm done, how does it look?" I noticed he had spelled her name wrong. HA! He was just too into his work- He wrote it "Zhooee"good thing they were cupcakes and we could just take out the extra "O". Thanks for making me laugh babe!

We love our Zhoee so much and can't believe she's already three and ready to be a big girl and start pre-school tomorrow. We'll have two of our kids in school this year. I know Zhoee will just LOVE school she is the happiest, smily, little girl and makes friends with everybody. Since today is crazy being the first day of school for Jadon and he has a football game tonight we celebrated Sunday night. We had dinner and cake and ice cream and, of course, presents. She got a new baby (she named Sarah, and Sally- she switches off) new leggings and shirts for school, 2 new pairs of shoes, and a My Little Pony Family. Grandma and Grandpa Romer gave her a cute little pink coat, cute scrub pajamas and a girly pink laptop. She thinks she is so big time, we went to Walmart after taking Jadon to school and she had to sit in the cart and type away. She looked very sophisticated-which she was going for.
After Jadon was at school and we ran some errands every 5 min. or so Zhoee was asking where Jadon was. She misses him already. Even though they fight and bug each other all day she just doesn't know what to do without her big brother.
I told her we could do something fun for her birthday today and the first thing she blurted out was "I want a pop-ee, and go to the park". (her name for slurpee's) So that's what we did. Bostyn, Zhoee, and mommy celebrated at the park this morning. Get this- last Tues night we went to the same park and during the week have noticed one of Zhoee's flip flops was lost. This morning while she was sliding down the slide I noticed it, just laying there. HOW FUNNY!! We had no idea where she had lost it, either.

1st Grade

Jadon is such a smartie pants- he's going to love 1st grade. He said he can't wait for break and P.E. He's very good a math though and I think he'll have a great year. Last night he asked Bart to give him a fathers blessing and asked Bart to bless him that he can understand everything and not forget it and that he will have fun at lunch. Zhoee asked for a blessing right after his was finished because she thought it was such a neat thing. Thanks for being a great example J, We love you!!!
