Arches, Canyonlands, and Dead Horse Point

What an amazing Memorial Weekend trip. We stayed the weekend in Moab and hit one national park each day. The weather was absolutely perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, just perfect tee-shirt and shorts weather. We hiked a ton and Bart woke up early (6:00) in the morning to go and get his mountain biking in so he could go site seeing and hiking with us during the day. The kids were so fun and adventurous. We got a kick out of watching them run around. They loved it as much as we did.

I just have to brag about my athletic husband for a sec. He woke up way early to do the Slickrock Trail outside of Moab. He was fighting a sinus infection and didn't think he'd be able to ride very well being sick. He started at 6:30 am and called at 7:50 and said he was finishing the last mile. Everything we printed out off the internet claimed it was such a difficult trail you needed 4-5 hours to ride it. He is so amazing and such a great athlete and mountain biker. GOOD JOB Bart!!!!

Fevers, coughs, and bloody noses

Don't they both just look miserable??? Zhoee is only content if she is being held by her mom and she has a 102.6 degree fever.

I'm posting this at 8:54am so I can already tell it'll be a long day...
I work Friday's.... so at 2am and 5am, as I was up giving Zhoee doses of Tylenol and Motrin, I kept dreading going in super early and getting ready for a sub so I could stay home with her today. Well, Bart is in Albequerque until tonight and so my mom came over while the kids at 6am. They were still asleep and I ran to the school to prepare some stuff for a day of school. I got home to take Jadon to kindergarten and he was coughing and all congested with a fever so I thought he'd better stay home too. A few minutes later I heard a big bang. It was Bossy who fell and hit the table; he was crying in a pile of blood around his nose. Poor thing. So, this is my day so far. Funny though, I'd rather be here taking care of my three amigos than be anywhere else.

Sky Box

We were trying to get Jazz tickets to Friday night game and the prices just seemed too high for one night of fun... We could both go for about $300. So we decided our alternate was to go to the Sky Box in the Gateway and watch it there. We are going with my parents and Kelsie and Isaac, who are in town for Isaac's brother's wedding. YEA!!! We're counting on the Jazz for a big win!

Ogden Nature Center

Jadon's Kindergarten class visited the Ogden Nature Center today. We had such a fun time, I was really glad I went with them. We saw snakes, frogs, turtles, insects, birds, a huge turkey and enjoyed the outdoor nature walks around the ponds. Jadon was very entertaining to watch, he and his friend Kenyon were pretending they were in Africa and were trying to spot a Lion. They didn't have any luck!!! They were sure fun to be with though, Lindsay invited Zhoee and Bossy to come to their house and play so I could just be with Jadon. Thanks Linds!!!

Here are two salamanders the one going under the log is in the middle of shedding it's skin. It was really awesome to watch.

Look at the turtle lounging around.
Jadon fished out a stick and the teacher there was telling the kds about all the eggs that were attatched to it. He was quite impressed with his findings.

NEW table and island

This is my new table, with 8 chairs! Plenty of room for company.

Bart is such a sweetheart, I complained Thurs. when he brought home his new gun. (I thought it was unbelievably expensive, but I guess, according to Bart, that it is just the middle of the line)

I reminded Bart how long I have wanted a new dining table and I was in desperate need of more counter space. So.... Sat. we sold our table on KSL and went and bought a new one. YEA. The store had to order it so we'll pick it up this next Sat. I also picked out a new island to go in the kitchen. Bart spent his whole weekend table shopping and then moving furniture and putting things together. He didn't even get time to go shoot his new gun... Now, that's true love!!!!! Thanks sweetie, I love you!

GO JAZZ

The Jazz game was awesome tonight. We were so excited and I would like to think we did our part as fans. When the game started I told Bart, "We need to do all we possibly can, as fans, to guarantee a win. AND WE DID...... It was SO LOUD in the arena, my ears are still buzzing.... But it was a great game. Our friends Ali and AJ came with us and we had a FUN NIGHT!!!

Round 1, Game 6 vs. Houston Rockets The Jazz KILLED the Rockets!!!

We were pretty high up, but I still had the nerve to yell at the reffs and insist I could call the game better than them. ( I wan't as bad as some of the fans around us)

My favorite: Some fans were holding a banner that read:
Houston:
You have a problem.
We loved it!!!!!
