On Sunday after church we drove up to Sherwood Hills and enjoyed a nice leisurely stroll in the leaves. The kids were so fun, running ahead of us in the trees and throwing up leaves and letting them trickle back down onto them. WE LOVE FALL!!!

The "KID" in me takes over...............
Just as we were ready to sit down for lunch outside on the patio Ash noticed a HUGE spider hanging from the house. She was very insistent on my killing the thing.................but I was insistent on having a little fun first!!

BYU Football and Peaches
Bart and his brother, Clint, went to the BYU football game and watched them spank Wyoming!!!
I opted to spend the day bottling peaches. They are so yummy and I can't wait to eat them all winter long. My grandma came over to help me get "started". She ended up staying for 2 hours and getting two batches finished. Thanks for your help Grandma.

Dinner at our house!
Sunday after church while we were eating dinner Zhoee became really bossy and whiny, She is usually tired and ornery after getting out of church at 5:30pm. So, as she was freaking out about me pouring her drink into the "wrong cup". Jadon declared, and I quote... "Zhoee, Don't bite the hand. I mean it, Don't bite the hand that feeds ya." I can recall so clearly Bart and I quickly looking at each other and wondering where this kid comes up with his material. Then he went on to explain to her what he meant by the comment. He told her that Mom and Dad take care of her and if she treats us mean and yells then we don't have to feed her anymore. What a brilliant kid who catches on so quickly. Jadon is such a smartie and amazes us with what he picks up and his awesome memory. We love you Jadon. Thanks for teaching Zhoee a little lesson and giving Mom and Dad a laugh!

I wanted to die
The gun went off and hundreds of runners started taking off down main street and where were Kelsie and I???? We had arrived so early for the Peach Days 10 K, we were still hangin out streching by the tabernacle front doors and about died to see everyone take off. We ran for the starting line but, through all our efforts to get there, we were dead last starting the 10K run. I laughed so hard just thinking about how early we showed up, and yet we just lost track of time and didn't even realize everyone was lining up to start. HOW FUNNY!!! Well we did it. Kelsie faster than me, but I finished. At the last 2 K going back down main street, which was lined by thousands of parade watchers, I was wishing I was dead. All those feelings of despair hit me. "Why in the heck did I want to do this to myself." "I have 9 long blocks to go and my body just can't finish." Well, slowly, very slowly, and bringing up the rear, I did finish!!!!! I'm going to become a runner and try to actually PREPARE myself before I do this to my poor body again. But I do want to run another race soon it was very satisfying- and I have to try to keep up with my husband and my sisters!!!
Kelsie convinced me to get NIKE PLUS for my ipod. It was so cool to put the chip in my shoe as I ran and then during my playlist a voice will tell me how far I have gone, how much torture I have left to endure, and how many calories I have burned, etc... Pretty cool. I got a sweet armband for it too and it made the run a little easier. I can't wait to run tomorrow morning (pushing 60 lbs. of children in the jogging stroller) Will my legs let me??? I'm pretty sore this morning. Thanks for pushing me Kels, I had a fun time. (I can say that now, not yesterday)

Labor Day Weekend in Elko
We always have such a good time when we go out to see Barts family. We had a great time just hanging around, going to yard sales Sat. morning, watching all the cousins play (especially night games), and going out with the four-wheelers!!! The best things, however, were when Tiff, Taniel, Dana, and I took over Tiffs room and just layed on the bed together and watched TLC all Monday morning, it was great. I don't know what my kids were doing but we weren't bothered. Bart loved their new theater room with projection TV with the biggest screen I've ever seen in my life and the sound system is LOUD!! By loud I mean awesome. Mom and Dad took us to this very yummy Basque resturaunt called "The Star" It has such GREAT food it took us over 2 hours to get in, but it was very worth it. Our steak and fish were fabulous!
